  • 1 min read

On 21 May, partners gathered in Athens for the final NOTSKIP conference, which began with the “Walking through Democracy – Routes of Athens” tour, exploring key sites of ancient democracy such as Pnyx and Areopagus. The conference opened with welcome speeches from the Municipality of Fyli, followed by presentations highlighting the importance of youth participation in democratic life and the need to create more inclusive spaces for young people’s engagement. Project partners then presented the achievements of NOTSKIP over the past two years, including the focus groups and podcasts developed during the final semester. Participants also attended local cultural events, strengthening the connection between the international delegation and the local community. The meeting concluded with final evaluations, planning of follow-up actions to ensure sustainability, and participation in the annual “Konstantinos and Eleni Festival,” where European representatives were officially welcomed by local authorities. This closing event reflected the project's positive impact on local communities and its contribution to encouraging youth involvement in democratic processes.
