From the 7th to the 10th of March 2022, the Lead partner, Obshtina Suhindol, together with
Solidarity Works and Association of Refugees and Migrants, was the host of the final international event within the “European Inclusion through Intercultural Dialogue” Network (EU-IN), which took place in Suhindol and Sofia, Bulgaria. At the meeting attended NGOs and municipalities from Bulgaria, Italy, Spain, North Macedonia, Romania, France and Latvia who collaborated over a 2- year span.
For this final meeting the partners visited the local school where the ethnic diversity of students is celebrated through creative performances featuring Roma, Turkish and Bulgarian traditional dancing. The international group also visited the oldest on the Balkans wine-making factory near Suhindol, as well as the picturesque architectural complex Etara. Also, during this meeting, the final results of the project have been disseminated within the EU-IN Community.
The project was funded by the Europe for Citizen's programme of the EU, and resulted in the exchange of good practices and creation of best practice report to showcase diverse ways to support and enhance the social inclusion of marginalized groups in Europe.
